Remote Access to Internet Native Banner (INB)
Because of the sensitive nature of data residing in our systems, Banner may only be reached from off-campus by connecting through multiple "firewalls." That's a technical way of saying that, if you are off-campus, you need a special way to get onto the private part of our network.
Connect to INB for Banner Application Updates
UNC Charlotte has provided a secure off-campus connection via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to the INB web server. It is a way you can configure your computer to act as though it's on campus. To connect, open Internet Explorer and go to https://connect2.uncc.edu/bannerapps.

Once the page https://connect2.uncc.edu/bannerapps has loaded, enter your NinerNET User Name and password. Entering this information correctly will get you access to the Banner Applications web page. |

Download the Oracle JInitiator |

If the Oracle JInitiator is already installed, move to Step 3.
Click Download Oracle JInitiator. Click Open, then Next and OK to complete the installation. |

Download the Oracle JInitiator Certificate Update |

Once logged in, click Download Oracle JInitiator Certificate Update. Make sure that the Oracle JInitiator has already been installed for the secure certificate update to occur successfully.
Click Sign Out to logout of the site and then close all open browsers. |
Connect to INB Production

Logging into INB |
| |
Once you are connected to the UNC Charlotte network via the Secure Access VPN, you can login to Banner INB through your Internet Explorer web browser.
To login to Banner INB, enter:

Your Novell User Name. |

If you have taken the required Banner training, and completed the Banner User Account Security Form, there will be an account set up for you in Banner INB |
